Summer Activities at The Pumpkin House
Returning this year is the 6-acre Maize Maze, a popular attraction for explorers. The maze’s design for this year is a Beach Hut, inspired by the Happy Huts at Wells Beach. Guests can navigate through the maize stalks to find clues and their way out.
For those looking for a recreational challenge, the 9-hole Adventure Golf Course offers a series of holes designed for a fun experience in the sunshine.
New for Summer 2025: Kids’ Agility Course
The Pumpkin House is introducing a new Agility Course for children. This course allows young visitors to test their agility and strength by climbing over haybales, tackling monkey bars, and navigating an assault course. A timer is available for those who wish to race against the clock or each other.
Victoria Cushing, owner of The Pumpkin House, noted, “We aim to enhance the experience for families at The Pumpkin House. This year’s additions focus on providing active outdoor opportunities for children.”
On-Site Amenities and Attractions
The indoor dining area is now open, offering a covered space to enjoy hot and cold drinks and snacks from the café, suitable for seeking shade or shelter from rain.
Additional outdoor activities for younger children include a mud kitchen, water play, and a builders’ yard. Traditional family games such as Welly Wanging, Tin Can Alley, and tractor tyre sandpits are also available. The Pumpkin House offers free parking and welcomes dogs on a lead, providing an accessible outdoor activity.
The Pumpkin House is open Monday through Saturday, from 10 am to 4 pm. Refreshments and picnic areas are available on site.

Beyond the summer season, The Pumpkin House in Norfolk also transforms for Halloween, offering a unique pumpkin picking experience. This handmade wooden house, adorned with over a thousand pumpkins, allows visitors to select their perfect pumpkin directly from its shelves. The Halloween event typically runs throughout October weekends and during the half-term period, providing a distinct autumn outing with additional spooky trails in the maize maze, a Halloween shop, and other festive activities.
