Get ready for a vibrant fusion of music, art, and history! The Maui Waui Festival is set to return in August 2026, taking over the prestigious and sprawling grounds of Elveden Hall Estate in Suffolk.
Known as one of East Anglia’s best-kept secrets, this family-friendly extravaganza is more than just a music festival—it’s a meticulously handcrafted world of creativity and joy.
Hosting the festival at Elveden Hall adds a layer of majesty to the event. As the former home of Maharajah Duleep Singh and the Guinness family, the estate provides a stunning backdrop of Italianate architecture and Mughal-inspired grandeur. Expect the festival stages to be nestled among ancient trees and rolling lawns, offering a “boutique” feel that blends wild festival energy with stately elegance.
Maui Waui is famous for its diverse and non-mainstream line-up. Across multiple stages (including the iconic Big Top), you can expect:
Genres: Electro Swing, Reggae, Dub, Folk, Funk, Soul, and Gypsy Jazz.
The World Music Café: A dedicated space for international acts, late-night Flamenco, and African beats.
The “Crime Scene”: For those who love electronic vibes, this area usually
pumps out high-energy Techno and Breakbeat until the early hours.

Creativity is the heartbeat of Maui Waui. One of the biggest draws is the dedicated Circus Tent, featuring world-class acrobats, aerialists, and clowning. You’ll also find:
The Living Art S
how: A jaw-dro
pping body-painting competition where models are transformed into walking masterpieces.
Cabaret & Comedy: Intimate stages hosting everything from stand-up to satirical theatre.
This is a festival where children aren’t just “allowed”—they are prioritised. With a dedicated kids’ area, the younger ones can participate in:
Workshops: Crafting, circus skills, and storytelling.
Maui’s Got Talent: A chance for young performers to take to the stage and showcase their skills.
Safe Space: The festival maintains a “village” vibe that is welcoming and inclusive for all ages.
