Pianist, bandleader, singer, composer, television presenter and multi-platinum-selling recording artist Jools Holland will bring his sensational Rhythm & Blues Orchestra back to Sandringham as part of their much-loved 2021 tour on Saturday 28th August. The current 19-piece Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra consists of pianist, organist, drummer, three female vocals, guitar, bass guitar, two tenor saxophones, two alto saxophones, baritone saxophone, three trumpets, and three trombones.Jools Holland and his band celebrate the golden age of big band music from the 1930s to the 1950s, with interpretations of standards from the likes of Count Basie and Woody Herman. The event will take place on the West Lawn and is part of a musical weekend at Sandringham by kind permission of HM The Queen.
Holland formed the band in 1994. It has gone on to tour the world and promises a tremendous collection of Jools tunes and his styling of ska, boogie woogie and blues – always an unforgettable night out that will have audiences on their feet.
