Peddars Way Ultra Marathon 2025

The Peddars Way Ultra Marathon on Saturday February 2nd 2025 starts in Suffolk at Knettishall Heath Country Park  and follows the route of the ancient  Roman road for 48 miles (77 Km) to Holme-next-the-Sea on the north Norfolk coast meeting the Norfolk Coast Path at Holme-next-the-Sea.

You will see quiet river valleys, ancient heathland and rich farmland, the trail visits many historic towns and villages. Suitable for experienced marathon runners with medals awarded to everyone who completes within 12 hours.

It’s a mix of straight tracks, bridleway’s, footpaths and quiet country roads and is relatively flat and easy to navigate, it’s well marked with signage on finger posts and National Trail Acorn markings. You will also have our detailed .gpx file to use on any device. With a generous 12 hours to complete the run its a great run for all running abilities and a good entry level event for beginner ultra runners. Two outdoor and two indoor checkpoints with a shuttle bus provided from the finish car park to the start as an option.

Race forms part of Positive Steps Grand Slam. Checkpoints at 14 miles, 27 miles and 34 miles. Race forms part of Positive Steps Grand Slam. The other races are the Norfolk 100 km and the Kings Forest 50 km. All three events must be completed in any order in a 12 month period to be awarded the Grand Slam tankard.
