Maui Waui Music Festival
April 4, 2023Burnham Market Craft Fair 2024
May 19, 2023This is a rare opportunity to visit a Norfolk working tulip field in conjunction with the Norfolk Hospice Tapping House usually at the end of April and beginning of May with tulip grower Mark Eves of Belmont Nurseries at Sandringham in Norfolk. Up to half a million bulbs per acre are planted making this a most dramatic tulip display.
Tickets are not released until much closer to that time. Please do not contact the hospice for event information.
A rare chance to visit and walk through working tulip fields, taking advantage of special photo opportunities and enjoying a day out unlike any other in the country. In past times the tulip fields were located just off the A148, close to the Sandringham Estate in King’s Lynn. All proceeds have gone towards the Hospice which provides vital services in the local community offering free care, comfort and compassion for people who are living with a life limiting illness, whilst also providing support for their families and friends.
Most days the fields open at 10am and last entry is at 3.30pm. Last year there was be three late evenings, where they were open from 10am and last entry was 7pm. There was also a parking charge of £2.00 per car which will cover the cost incurred by The Norfolk Hospice to rent the land for the car park. Please note, there is no public transport or walking access to the event; all attendees must travel to the event by car or taxi. The Tulip field will be closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for essential field and crop maintenance. Adult tickets were £7.50 each and children’s tickets were e £5 each under 5’s go free. Please note that there will also be a parking charge of £2 per car which will cover the cost incurred by The Norfolk Hospice to rent the land for car parking.
There will be local traders selling food and refreshments, toilet facilities, parking and a stall selling merchandise at the event. Dogs and drones are strictly forbidden on the fields. While those using wheelchairs and buggies are wholeheartedly welcomed at the fields, we would ask that users be aware that conditions on the day are wholly dependent upon the weather. The terrain will be uneven and can be muddy or dusty; please bear this in mind before you visit and ensure you wear appropriate footwear. Please note the site is a no-smoking zone.
