Deepdale HYGGE 2024

2017 was the inaugural Deepdale Hygge Festival, a celebration of the things the organisers  love on the North Norfolk Coast including the great outdoors, live music, barbecue, fire pits, food, drink, cycling, walking, running, big skies, and star gazing.

The hygge (pronounced hue-gah) is a danish word that means to create a warm atmosphere and enjoy the good things in life with good people around you. At Deepdale this involves promoting and showcasing the best in local life and original music.

The Deepdale Hygge 2024 programme includes a Barn Dance on Friday evening with activities on Saturday morning and live music on Saturday afternoon & evening, then a guided walk and a jamming session on Sunday. The shops, pop up shops, supermarket & cafe at Dalegate Market will be open all day.

In the evening, they hold the annual Deepdale Barn Dance with Whirligig with a ceilidh band in the Brick Barn. Dungarees & checked shirts are not compulsory, but most welcome.

King’s Lynn & District Astronomy Society will be helping everyone to understand and navigate the skies above Deepdale sharing their knowledge, enthusiasm and experience.

Moon Gazer Ale will be running a bar in the courtyard, offering their lovely real ales, local spirit cocktails and wines. The Wood Fired Food Co will be offering delicious pizzas, The Nest will be offering hot drinks and delicious sweet things.
